Part-Time Seasonal Soccer Officials Needed

Pataskala Youth Soccer League (PYSL)

The Pataskala Youth Soccer League is seeking part-time, seasonal soccer officials to officiate recreational league matches. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy soccer, working with youth, and being part of a community-focused program.

Position Overview

  • Season: April – October

  • Schedule:

    • Weekends: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM

    • Weekdays: Up to three evenings per week

  • Game Assignments: Referees may officiate 2–4 consecutive one-hour games

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Officiate recreational soccer games in a professional and positive manner

  • Instruct players on rules and proper gameplay as needed

  • Maintain a safe, fair, and enjoyable playing environment

  • Report any issues or concerns involving games, players, or conduct to the Parks Manager

  • Supply and wear an approved referee uniform

  • Demonstrate strong accountability and punctuality for all assigned games

Education, Experience & Certifications

  • Strong familiarity with the rules of soccer is required

  • Referee certification is highly encouraged but not required

  • Must be professional, reliable, and comfortable working with players, coaches, and families
