Options for Paying Various Fines

If your ticket does not require a court appearance, you may pay it online using a Mastercard, Visa or Discover. A service fee will apply. You may also sign the back of your ticket and pay your fine prior to the court date listed on the ticket by one of the other following methods:

Mailed Payment
Mailed payments may be made by a personal check, business checks or money orders. Please do not mail cash.

Payment In Person

Payment may also be made in person at 621 West Broad Street, Suite 2-B, Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. The court accepts personal checks, business checks, money orders, cash or credit cards. Please note: There is a 4% fee to use a credit or debit card.

After-Hours Payment

Payments may be submitted in the black drop box located in front of the City Municipal Building at 621 West Broad Street. Drop box payments can be made by personal checks, business checks or money orders.

NOTE: Make sure to write “Mayor’s Court” on the front of your envelope as other departments use the drop box also. Please include your name, ticket number, or case number to ensure your payment is properly posted. If paying a waiverable ticket, include your ticket, signed on the back, and proof of insurance if needed. Please do not put cash in the drop box. Please Note: If your citation is a result of an auto accident and you did not have insurance coverage you must appear in court on your assigned court date.
